Mt. Diablo C.A.R.E.S. (Collaborative for Academics, Recreation & Enrichment for Students)
The Rio Vista Elementary School CARES is a well rounded program with strong support from our students' parents. This support occurs due to our strong tie to the community in Bay Point. Financially, we are supported by grants from both state and city initiatives as well as annual fundraisers.
Our program includes:
- Homework Help
- ASPIRE Academic Intervention Program
- Computer Lab
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) Education
- Nutrition Education and Cooking
- Arts and Crafts
- Gardening
- Indoor and Outdoor Games
- Sports

Hours Of Operation & Cost
Rio Vista has an After School Program held in the Multi-Use Room (MUR) every day after school.
After School Program hours are as follows:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday,
and Friday:
2:35 - 6:00 p.m.
Wednesdays:
1:00 - 6:00 p.m.
There is no cost to students for program participation.
